John

Open Water Swimming Coach

I am a qualified STA level 2 Open Water Swimming Coach. During the Swim Retreats we have both pool and sea swimming sessions. For those swimmers that want any help with their stroke and technique, I’ll be on hand to analyse and discuss with you your swimming goals and objectives and where we think improvements can be made with your stroke. We can then work on drills and techniques to help you with your efficiency through the water and help you to swim more smoothly, effortlessly and prevent injury.
In the sea we will put these techniques into practice and we will also spend some time on specific open water skills like acclimatisation, cold water shock, dealing with panic and sighting.
